Customizing Form Fields and Buttons
Every business requires different information from their customers. A digital product seller only needs an email, while a physical goods seller needs a full shipping address. Foliodia lets you customize your form fields to reduce friction and increase sales.
Overview
Shorter forms convert better. By disabling fields you don't actually need, you make it faster for customers to check out. You can also customize the text on the final submit button to match your specific call-to-action.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to the Forms page and select a form to edit.
- Scroll to the Field Configuration section.
- Toggle Fields: You will see a list of available fields (Phone Number, Address, State, City, ZIP Code, etc.).
- Turn ON the fields you absolutely require.
- Turn OFF the fields you don't need.
- Customize the Button: Scroll to the bottom of the form builder. Locate the Submit Button Text field.
- Change it from the default "Complete Order" to something specific like "Claim My Discount" or "Ship My Order".
- Click Save Form.
Tips & Best Practices
- Only Ask For What You Need: If you are selling software or digital tickets, disable the shipping address fields entirely.
- Action-Oriented Buttons: Studies show that buttons starting with verbs (e.g., "Get", "Claim", "Start") perform better than passive buttons (e.g., "Submit").
Common Problems
Customers are leaving the form without finishing. Your form might be too long. Review your Field Configuration and disable anything that isn't strictly necessary for fulfilling the order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the "Name" and "Email" fields optional? Currently, Foliodia requires at least a Name or an Email/Phone to ensure an order can be uniquely identified and tracked in your dashboard.
